The Manden empire, or empire of Malí (Manden Kurufaba), was a stately power of Western Africa that existed between the centuries XIII and XVII, founded by Sundiata Keita. Conocido by the vast wealth of our governors, especially Mansa Musa, and his paper on the diffusion of culture and Islamic faith in West Africa, the empire was based in the area known as Mandén, among current events in Mali and Guinea. One of our most important contributions is the Carta de Manden, an early proclamation of human rights.
