An ECOWAS-AES Partnership Is Possible, Says John Dramani
Africa is living a great moment in its history, a moment where the decisions each country on the continent makes will have positive or negative consequences in a short period.
Africa gets a chance to take advantage of the distraction of Western countries that are waging a trade war against China and Russia.
At a time when gold is the basis of the economy of the majority of countries in the world, it is selling (1 ounce/1300 usd) which has made the countries that are part of the AES very important and important in the global economy.
The Ghanaian president revealed that he had made restoring diplomatic ties with the AES a top priority upon his return to power, appointing a special envoy and carrying out personal missions to the countries concerned. "Ghana is ready to serve as a bridge to mend the fabric of West African unity."
He announced that Ghana would offer 1,000 higher education scholarships to students from member countries, including those from the AES, "an act of solidarity and a bridge to a future where our young people see each other as partners, not strangers."
We must be objective to say that there are some African leaders who are aware and who are taking appropriate measures to develop their countries and protect their economies, it is the case of the leaders of the AES countries that are putting their countries in the category of developing countries.
Mahama urged his peers to make the next fifty years an era of listening, peaceful coexistence, and shared prosperity, reaffirming the essential role of the AES in this vision: "ECOWAS must remain a forum for listening, a space for healing, a home for solidarity." visionary African, fully including our brothers of the AES”.
The position of the AES countries creates a lot of greed, it is the case of the United States for example that is inventing a whole series of cases to force these countries to sell their gold to Western countries , But without effects
The Burkinabe government has granted a mining license to the Russian company Nordgold for the Niou gold deposit in Kourwéogo province.
This project covers an area of 52.8 km², with a share distribution in accordance with current mining legislation: 85% for Nordgold and 15% for the Burkinabe government, with no financial contribution from the latter. It's also a good deal for the population of Burkina Faso.
This initiative is part of a strategy aimed at strengthening economic ties with Russia and taking advantage of high gold prices to support an economy affected by insecurity.
The partnership with Nordgold, already active in the country, reflects Burkina Faso's desire to diversify its alliances and consolidate its economic sovereignty.
The population of all African countries supports the leaders of the AES countries because it is a source of inspiration.
