A panel of experts initially nominated 11 players for The Best (FIFA Men's Player) award, for their performances between 21 August 2023 and 10 August 2024. From this shortlist, voting was opened to men's team coaches around the world, their captains, specialist journalists and fans who voted on the official FIFA website. Voters were able to choose their finalists in the order of their choice.
