It is the story of an ex-convict, former thief who poses as the police chief of a remote area,
Banshee in Pennsylvania.
He went to prison for 10 million dollars in diamonds he stole and gave to his girlfriend at the time,
where Lucas Hood chose to go to prison to let the woman he loved escape with the diamonds,
hoping that the woman would be waiting for him to get out of prison to start a family and enjoy the money from the sale of the diamonds, but it was a miscalculation.
she has disappeared with $10 million in diamonds that were owed to him when he covered for her and took the sentence for her.
The series followed Lucas Hood, an ex-convict and professional thief who is released from prison after serving a 15-year sentence. Upon arriving in Banshee, Pennsylvania, he decides to stay there and assumes the identity of a sheriff (Lucas Hood) while hiding from the gangsters who want to kill him after selling him out to the criminal Mr. Rabbit.
He goes in search of his ex, who has already settled in Banshee.
Its trappings are nothing new, and its lurid combination of violence and sex will likely turn some viewers off, but Banshee can be entertaining in some distinctive ways.
Its intelligence shines through despite the silliness none worse than the parade of sex scenes, a variety of soft-core pornography, whose noise is surpassed only by its lack of conviction.
Its story, rife with intriguing and repellent characters, such as Kai Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen), the evil local tycoon, becomes increasingly compelling. It has a solid pedigree. It's also part of Cinemax's effort to expand its original programming. That effort pays off with Banshee.
